OperationId:restartService

Restarts the IP rules service on one server, which puts configuration changes waiting for a restart into effect. Requires Super User scope.

The service answers, then restarts and is back within about 2 seconds. Firewall blocks stay in place while it restarts. If the connection closes before the answer arrives, the API answers 200 with status restarting itself. Calls to the server made during the restart can fail with 503; retry after a few seconds.

The request goes to the IP rules service on {hostname}, and its status and body come back unchanged. Errors the API decides itself use the code and message form; errors from the service use the error form.
